Dr. Sangeeta Rath, born on First September, Nineteen sixty is a faculty member of P.G. Department of Psychology, Ravenshaw University. In addition to teaching, she is the Officer-on-Special Duty (OSD) to Vice-Chancellor since August, 2007.

Dr. Rath graduated from Ravenshaw College in 1979 and obtained her Masters, M.Phil. and Ph.D. degrees from Utkal University. She secured the first position both in B.A. Psychology (Hons) and M.A. examinations of Utkal University and  was awarded the University Gold Medal.

Her research papers have been published both in International and National journals. To her credit, she has published a book on psycho-social aspects of different social issues. She regularly contributes popular articles to newspapers and writes short stories for magazines. On an invitation from Lund University, Sweden, she visited different Swedish Universities and participated in seminars.

She is a former President of the Lioness Club. Her hobbies are music and gardening. Her garden has won the best garden award continuously for ten years continuously at  district level competitions.
