Ravenshaw Journal of Literary and Cultural Studies
The Department of English, Ravenshaw College used to publish a biannual journal entitled ‘The Ravenshaw Journal of English Studies’. After Ravenshaw became a University in 2006, a few issues continued to be published under the same name, and now under a new name we continue to publish the journal. We turn to this new name, ‘Ravenshaw Journal of Literary and Cultural Studies’, because a journal devoted exclusively to English Studies is rather problematic in the contemporary episteme, which prefers less exclusionary categories. Under this new title, the journal hopes to engage in debates of broader cultural import than those suggested by the earlier heading.
