Dr. Madhabi Madhusmita Bhanjadeo completed her Ph.D. in 2019 from AcSIR, New Delhi, in biological sciences. Her Ph.D. thesis entitled “Lanthanide induced B-to-Z transition in self-assembled branched DNA nanostructures” was focused on the fabrication and characterization of self-assembled branched DNA nanostructures that can alter their conformation in presence of rare earth salts. She has worked in the synthesis, characterization, and application of self-assembled nanostructure using biomolecules for various biomedical purposes. Besides this, she has worked with microbial systems for the degradation of organosulfur contaminants in fossil fuels. She has published 5 original research articles in peer-reviewed journals as first author, 3 popular science articles, and around 10 conference proceedings. Her research works have been highlighted by both Nature Asia as well as national newspapers like The Hindu. She has been awarded for her work in several international and national conferences. She has worked as a guest faculty in the Department of Botany, Ravenshaw University in the 2019-2020 academic session for students of Botany and Biotechnology. She is currently serving as Guest faculty in the Department of Biochemistry and teaches structural biochemistry.
