Dr. Himansu Sekhar Samal completed his Ph. D. and M.Phil. (Philosophy) both from University of Pune and Masters Degree from University of Hyderabad. His area of research specialization is History and Philosophy of Science and areas of interest in Philosophy of Science and Technology, Cognitive Science and Philosophy of Social Science. He has been associated with the department from May 2011 onwards.
