The Department has produced many outstanding research Scholars and research projects. So far, the department has completed around one major and one minor research projects sponsored by DST and UGC, respectively. Currently department has one ICSSR-funded and two SEEDs Govt of Odisha funded projects in hand. So far, the department has produced 19 Ph.D, and 55 M.Phil scholars. Around 17 Ph.D. scholars are working different faculty members. The faculty members are actively engaged in research and share their findings through participation in various national and international conferences and workshops held across various states in India and abroad.  Some of the current areas of interest of the Department are as follows:
