I am Chirasrota Jena, working as a guest faculty in the Department of Journalism and Mass Communication, Ravenshaw University.  I have submitted my PhD. thesis titled “The Professional Status of Women Journalists: A Study on Media Organisations in Odisha” in the Department of Journalism and Mass Communication from Berhampur University. My research interests are gender studies and development communication. I have published the following research papers. I have done Master Degree on Development Journalism and Electronic Communication from Utkal University. My teaching interests are new media, editing, development communication and reporting. I have around six years of experience in the field of reporting in various media houses in New Delhi.  I am also teaching at Odisha State Open University and IGNOU.
