Botanist Association of Ravenshaw College
(BARC)

The Department has produced legendary botanists who have made pioneering contributions to plant science education and research in the state of Odisha. Our alumni are known both nationally and internationally. The Alumni Association of the Department is the oldest in Ravenshaw and the alumni members continue to extend support for the academic progress of the Department.

Activities

Conducts annual alumni meet of BARC in the month of January/February.
Publishes alumni magazine “AROMA” (ISBN Number: 978-93-5351-691-8) which features the progresses in the emerging areas of plant sciences and environmental sustainability
Guides the department in various academic activities.
Awards prizes to students for their achievements in various fields to encourage the new comers.
Alumni network facilitates the networking towards assigning students to various national and international organizations for their academic and research growth.
