He holds the position of Assistant Professor in the Department of Geology. Dr. Mishra carried out his doctoral research work at CSIR-Institute of Minerals and Materials Technology, Bhubaneswar under the guidance of Prof. Birendra Kumar Mohapatra, Chief Scientist and Prof. Prem Prakash Singh of Utkal University. He obtained his Ph. D. degree from Utkal University, Bhubaneswar in the year 2005 in the field of Ore Geology. He has more than a decade of experience in teaching and research. His subject areas for teaching include Igneous Petrology, Ore Geology, Minerals Engineering and Coal Petrography. He has also interest in the field of mineral waste characterisation for their optimum utilisation and upgradation of lean / off-grade ores for value addition.Dr.Mishra has published many research papers in both National and International journals of repute. In addition to the teaching and research activities he has also contributed significantly to the community life and served as Deputy Warden of Hostels, Program Officer of NSS and member of different committees.
