Prof Sahu is currently Professor and the Head of the Dept of Political Science. She has more than three decades of teaching and research experience .She obtained her Masters Degree from University of Hyderabad, Hyderabad and did her M.Phil in South Asian Studies, School of International Studies of JNU,New Delhi. She earned her PhD from Utkal University, Bhubaneswar. Her research interests encompass Development Studies, Gender Issues, India and her Neighbourhood and Human Rights of the vulnerable and marginalised communities. She has published several research articles in reputed journals and authored six books. She has contributed chapters to the edited books. Nine scholars have been awarded the PhD degree under her supervision.
