He holds the position of Assistant Professor in the Department of Odia. He obtained his M.A.(2002) and M.Phil.(2003) from Utkal University,Vani Vihar. He has completed Diploma in Nepali Language from North-Eastern Regional Language Centre, Guwahati. After that he has worked as a Senior Research Assistant for C.I.I.L., Mysore from 2008 to 2010. He completed his Ph.D. from Ravenshaw University in 2017. He joined this University in 2010.His thesis was based on studies of Odia short stories and story teller Kanheilal Das. He has 10 years of teaching and research experience. Linguistics, Tribal Studies, Religion and Natural Language Possessing are his area of interest. He has more than 17 publications in different Odia journals, two numbers of criticism book and one edited book to his credit. He has presented almost thirtyfive papers in different Seminars and workshops.  He completed one Summer School Program and two Refreshers courses and two faculty Development Program.
