Dr. Jajnaseni Rout, is Assistant Professor of the Department of Geography. Basically, She is a Physical Geographer but specialization in Remote Sensing (RS) and GIS. She has obtained her Graduation and Post-Graduation from Ravenshaw Autonomous College, Cuttack. She has done her MPhil and Ph.D from Ravenshaw University, Cuttack. She has done Certificate course in Remote Sensing and GIS from Indian Institute of Remote Sensing (IIRS), Dehradun and PG Diploma in Remote Sensing & GIS from Sambalpur University. Before Joining as Assistant Professor, having 10 years experience in Chilika Development Authority (CDA) and Integrated Coastal Management Project (ICZMP), Odisha in Research. She has 1 and 5 months experience in teaching as Guest Faculty in the department of Geography, Ravenshaw University. She has published 30 nos. of publication in different International and National Journals and presented research paper in more than 10 nos. of International and National Seminars, Conferences. She is life member of Eastern Geographical Society (EGS), Indian Society of Remote Sensing (ISRS) and Institute of Indian Geographers (IIG). Her Research area is application of RS & GIS in different field like Wetland, Coast, Watershed, and Natural Resource Management etc. She teaches the Remote Sensing & GIS, Natural Resource management, Geomorphology, Human Geography, Environment Geography papers.
