Dr Siba Sankar Sahu is an Assistant Professor in Department of Applied Geography at Ravenshaw University, Cuttack, Odisha. He did his MA from Delhi School of Economics and M.Phil and PhD from Jawaharlal Nehru University New Delhi. He started his teaching career as a lecturer in Arunachal Pradesh in 2013 and joined as Assistant Professor in Ravenshaw University in 2014 as a regular faculty. He received Brown International Advance Research Fellowship USA in 2015. His area of interest/specialisation is Regional Development and Planning, Disaster management and Poverty and Social Exclusion Studies. He has completed a project sponsored by Translangways Corporation Mumbai and awarded a project sponsored by the Odisha University Research and Innovation Programme under Director of Higher Education, Govt. of Odisha in 2021. He has authored a book and more than 10 research articles published in national and international repute and writes regularly popular articles related to emerging geographical issues in the column of Odia and English newspaper. He is the life member of Eastern geographical society, Odisha Economic Association, Rotary Club of India and Geo-Research forum Delhi University etc. He has been associated with hostel deputy warden from 2014 in different hostels and co-coordinator of Alumni association of Ravenshaw University. He has taken the charge of NCC officer in Ravenshaw University from 2020.
