Rajani Kanta Nayak, Associate Professor,(Retd.) presently serving as visiting faculty in the PG Department of English , Ravenshaw University has been pre-eminently a classroom teacher of excellence who has served the cause of teaching English at UG , PG and M.Phil. level in various Govt. Colleges of Odisha since 1975 including that at Ravenshaw University (more than twenty years), BJB College, Rama Devi University, JKBK College, Dhenkanal and Puri Women’s College, etc. for the last forty five (45)  years. An eminent sportsperson, an AIR and Doordarshan commentator, a translator (two Lord Jagannath Texts) and an occasional poet in English. His research interest included Post 60s British American plays in Neo-mimetic mode. He has guided 7 M.Phil dissertations during his tenure as Associate Professor in Ravenshaw University up to 2010 and is also associated with guiding scholars working for UGC NET, M. Phil. and Ph.D.
