Bijayalaxmi completed her Ph.D. from Department of Odia Utkal University on 2011 under the supervision of prof.Baishnaba charana samal ,Retd.prof.visva-Bharati,shantiniketana,in the field of Progressive Literature. She has fifteen years of experience in academics research and administration. Her teaching expertise lies in Modern Literature basically in the areas of Modern Prose, Poetry, various theories in Literature, Folk Literature Culture Studies etc… She has completed as a Project Investigator of Odia team for a major consortium project with JNU, New Delhi, “Indian Language Corpora Initiative”, Phase 1 and Phase-2, granted by Department of Electronics and Information Technology, Govt. of India. She has authored various publications in journals of International and National repute. She has 16 publications in international peer reviewed journals,14 publications in odia journals.she has published 3 Criticism Books,9 Edited Books,8 chapter Edited,5 text books for Odisha state open University ,1 text book and 5 Text Book reviewer . she also participated and successfully completed 8 Refresher, orientation and short term programme ,attended and presented paper in 56 seminars ,10 workshops,1 poster presentation, Delivered talk as a resource person in 10 webinars , and also delivered 6 talks in All India Radio to her credit . Her current research intrest is focused on modern literature.she also started digitalization and critical edition of ancient text and palm leaf manuscripts through Center for Digital Humanities and Translation studies ,Ravenshaw University. Apart from Academic and research, she had previously held office as a warden of ‘Daya’ and ‘Parija’ Hostels. Now she helds the position of Deputy Dean Students Welfare.
