Dr. Manoranjan Das is currently working as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Sociology, Ravenshaw University. He graduated from Ravenshaw University Cuttack with Masters in Sociology. Apart from that, he also holds an M.Phil degree from Pondicherry University. Dr. Das received his Ph.D in Sociology from the Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur in the year 2017. He has qualified UGC NET in Sociology. Before joining Ravenshaw University, he was working as Assistant Professor of Sociology in the Department of Social Financial and Human Sciences, KIIT University. Dr. Das has two years of research experience (post Ph. D). He is a life time Member of the Indian Sociological Society (ISS).  He has presented research papers at National and International Seminars held in India and abroad. His areas of research include, (i) Social Movement, (ii) Displacement Rehabilitation and Resettlement, (iii) Role of Civil Society Organizations in Development, (iv) Rural Development, and (v) Urban Informal Sector.
