Professor Laxmi Kanta Mishra is a former faculty of Department of History, Ravenshaw University. He obtained his Master’s (1981), M. Phil  (1983) and Ph. D (2001)  from Utkal University. He worked in Raj Syndrome and the British articulation of Orissan History: A Study on the modern historiography of Orissa. He is teaching and doing research  since 1984. He joined Ravenshaw when it was a college in 2000 and appointed as a professor in 2011.
