Dharmabrata Mohapatra (PhD in 2005 from Utkal University) is  professor and Head of the Department of Economics. With more than 30 years of teaching and research experience, he has an abiding interest in the field of rural development and environmental economics. He has more than 25 articles to his credit in national and international journals of repute. He is also a passionate teacher who can traverse multiple domains of the discipline and firmly believes in the complementary nature of teaching and research.
