Dr. Sarangi completed his Post Graduation in Statistics from Utkal University, Bhubaneswar (1984) and M.Phil from Meerut University, UP in 1986. He registered for Ph.D in Utkal University, Bhubaneswar under the guidance of Prof. Pradip Kumar Tripathy and completed the same in 2007. The thrust area of Research of Dr. Sarangi is Demography and population studies.
