Prof. Das completed her Ph.D. from Department of Chemistry, Utkal University in the field of chemical kinetics. She has more than three decades of experience in academics, research and administration. Her teaching expertise lies in physical chemistry and spanning basically in the areas of chemical kinetics, thermodynamics, and quantum chemistry. Her core research fields are chemical kinetics and ultrasonic chemistry. She has lately broadened her research spectrum in plasma chemistry emphasizing particularly on applications of cold plasma in energy, environment and health sectors. She has authored various publications in journals of international and national repute. Apart from academics and research, she has proven her mettle as an able administrator. Currently, she holds the position of Chairman, P.G. Council of Ravenshaw University. She had previously held offices as the Registrar (I/ C), Chief Warden of Hostels, Dean of School of Physical Science and the President of Ravenshaw University Teacher’s Association. Prof. Das also serves as an expert in the research review committees of DST, Odisha and OHEPEE, Odisha.
