Dr. Mishra joined Ravenshaw University as Reader in the year 2011 and elevated to Professor in the year 2019. He completed his Ph.D. from Utkal University, Bhubaneswar in the year 2004 in the area of Open and Distance Learning. He has more than two decades of experience in teaching, research and administration. He teaches Research methodology, Educational Technology, Assessment in Education and Sociology of Education. His core research areas include elementary education, assessment in education and educational technology. He served in many International and National level organizations in various capacities such as, King Mongkut’s University of Technology Thonburi (KMUTT), Bangkok; IGNOU-UNESCO Chair, New Delhi; National Council of Educational Research and Training, New Delhi; National Institute of Educational Planning and Administration, New Delhi; and Army Institute of Education, Delhi Cantt. While working in KMUTT, Bangkok and IGNOU-UNESCO Chair, New Delhi he was closely associated with late Prof. B.K. Passi in studying areas like, thinking skills and open and distance learning. He has more than 60 publications which include publication in Journals of National and International repute, book reviews and book chapters. Apart from teaching and Research in the present University, he also holds the position of Controller of Examination (I/C).
