He holds the position of Assistant Professor in the Department of Zoology. He has more than10 years of teaching and research experienec. He has completed his Ph.D. in the year 2012 from Department of Biotechnology, Utkal University. His research area is on stress physiology, endocrine regulations and neurotoxicology. He has 18 publications in peer review journals, 9 as proceedings/preprints and 3 book chapters in to his credit.

Currently his group is interested to explore on following aspects:

  • Characterization of drug resistant HIV-1 mutants by genomic and proteomic approaches.
  • Ecological distribution, conservation strategies and phylogenetic relationship among different species of non-marine chelonians of Odisha
  • Fluoride toxicity on health of aquatic organisms and its management.
  • Role of curcumin on collagen expression and its involvement in β-amyloid formation in hypothyroid rat brain.
