(RAZAA)

RAZAA is a vibrant organization of the alumni constituted in 2010-2011. This organization from its inception has stood firmly with the department. It has extended all kinds of support for the growth of the department. RAZAA has constituted different awards to encourage students in their studies as well as research and also organizes memorial lecture series and seminars on cutting edge Zoological Studies. An annual function of the association is held every year with active participation of members. The association also felicitates eminent Zoologists of the state in its annual general body meeting

  • Namita Memorial Lecture series instituted in the fond memory of our alumna Mrs. Namita Das by her husband Santosh Kumar Jena (alumnus of 1981-83 batch) in the year 2013. Every year eminent personalities from diverse fields

Annual Awards

  • Namita Memorial Award: Namita Memorial Lecture series instituted in the fond memory of our alumna Mrs. Namita Das by her husband Mr. Santosh Kumar Jena (alumnus of 1981-83 batch) in the year 2013. Every year two prizes are awarded one each to a undergraduate and postgraduate student for best oral presentation. The topics of presentation for undergraduate and post-graduate students are the Nobel Prize winning topic in Physiology and Medicine awarded in the previous year and the current year.
  • Late Krushna Chandra Panda memorial award instituted by former Professor and Head of our Department for outstanding research publications to the Ph.D. scholars of the Department for the work conducted in the Department in three major thrust areas, namely Neurobiology, Biochemistry & Molecular Biology, and Aquatic Biology & Toxicology.
