Dr. Jaydeb Jena was born in 1957.He had his early education in his village school. In B.A. he secured  1st class Honours in Philosophy with Distinction, succeeded in obtaining his Masters in Philosophy  with Grade-A,passed successfully his Mphil in philosophy and obtained PhD in philosophy from Utkal  University respectively. After serving in various colleges in Odisha, he retired as Reader in Philosophy from Dharmasala Mahavidyalaya in 2017. He was deeply engrossed in the study and research in Symbolic Logic,which was his area of interest. He wrote his M.phill Dissertation on “A study on the problem of Entailment’’-a topic on Symbolic Logic. He wrote his PhD thesis on “Studies in the methods  of Completeness proof for Propositional Logic’’-a topic on Symbolic Logic. He possessed a very distinguished academic career. Many of his research papers had been published in Journals of National repute. After retirement, Dr Jaydeb Jena has been working as a visiting faculty in the  P.G  department of philosophy, Ravenshaw University since 2017.
