Meenakshi Nayak has completed her M Phil from Fakir Mohan University, Balasore, Odisha in 2013 with the rank 1 position. Her Masters is from Utkal University, Bhubaneswar, Odisha in 2012. She has Qualified National level UGC NET in 2020 & GATE in 2021. She has teaching Experience from January 2021. Her Research Interest areas are Gender & Development, Social Network & Development, Tribal Development. Her topics of research are “Forest & livelihood of tribal women” in Banspal Block of Keonjhar District (2012 -2013), Social Study of Women in Informal Sector with Special Reference to Women at Construction Work (2011-2012), Social Conditions of Rag Pickers (2009 -10). Other than this she has presented a paper in a seminar at Ambedkar University of Delhi in 2017. The topic of her presentation was “Impact of Law on NTFP Collectors/ Gatherers/ Rearers” in Jashipur block of Mayurbhanj district, Odisha. She has also worked in a National Livelihood & Research Organization named PRADAN for more than 5 years.Currently the papers she is teaching are: – In B A she is teaching; Introduction to Sociology-1, Indian Society, Classical Sociological Thinkers, Social Change & Development, Sociology of Gender, Political Sociology, Rural Sociology, Globalization & Society, Industrial Sociology, Urban Sociology, population studies.In M A she is Teaching; Sociological Tradition-1 (SOC 1.1), Methodology of Sociological Research (SOC1.2), Political Sociology (SOC1.4), Sociology of Gender (SOC 3.3 A), Contemporary Society in India (SOC 4.2)
