Dr. Gitanjali Mohanty, a multidisciplinarian with M.Sc. and M.Phil. (Botany), M.A (Public Administration ), M.Ed, Ratna (Hindi),  LL.B.,  NET (Education),   Ph.D (Bio-Science Education) from Utkal  University, Odisha. She completed her Ph.D in 2010. Her Ph.D.  thesis “Secondary School Biological Science Curriculum of Orissa- A Critical Study”, styled as Principles of Education for Secondary School (Part-1)  internationally published. She has more than 17 years of teaching and research experience in field of Education. She has 12 publications in peer reviewed journals to her credit. She has participated in more than 80 National/ International level seminars/ conferences/ workshops and presented 27 research papers. She has acted  as Resource persons in more than 30 PAC  & Other Programmes. As a State Pedagogy Consultant to UNICEF, She had undertaken the research project titled “Orissa Education Programme 2010” to provide support to the State Resource Groups and District Pedagogy Coordinators. She had organised/ supervised more than 50 workshops/orientation programmes, visited more than 1000 schools during her seven years service as District Coordinator, Girls’ Education, ECCE & Community mobilisation under DPEP & SSA (OPEPA) in Keonjhar and Khordha district. She also  made sustained effort in improvement of Girl’s Education & empowerment of women for accomplishment of the gospel of Universalization of Elementary Education. She invigorated opening of 102 ECCE Centres providing preschool education to 2697 children in Khordha district. Her  current research interest is focused on  Science Education, Early Childhood  Education, Elementary Education, Secondary Education, Higher Education  &Teacher Education.
