Centre of Excellence in Environment and Public Health

“Healthy people are those who live in healthy homes on a healthy diet; in an environment equally fit for birth, growth, work, healing, and dying... Healthy people need no bureaucratic interference to mate, give birth, share the human condition, and die.”

Sustainability is the buzz word in the wake of increased global understanding about the quality of life. It is now well comprehended that economics, environmental health and human well-being are interconnected and interdependent. With a vision to create progressive, sustainable communities through a holistic and inclusive approach, environment and health are chosen as areas of prime importance and working towards addressing the unmet needs of the state this center was proposed.
