Dr. Ashok Dansana is on the position of Assistant Professor in School of Education, Ravenshaw University, Cuttack, since March 2014. He started higher education career at Gangadhar Meher Autonomous College, Sambalpur University Odisha, which led to UG and PG degrees and honoured with the Degrees of M.Phil. and Ph.D. from the Faculty of Education, Central Institute of Education (CIE), University of Delhi. He has taken the privilege of teaching at the University of Delhi and Regional Institute of Education (RIE), Bhopal in his teaching career prior to joining Ravenshaw. He carries the credits of authorship of three books such as ‘Higher Education and Sustainable Development: New Challenges and Opportunities’; ‘Theories of Management & School Practices’ and ‘Educational Sociology’. On his credits there are as many as seventeen research papers and credit of guidance successfully six M.Phil. scholars and one Ph.D. scholar. His major areas of academic interest and contribution are Educational Management, Educational Sociology, Education and Development, Foundations of Education, and Educational Policies and Practices in India.
