Dr. B. C. Das is in the position of Asst. Professor S-II in the Department of Education, Ravenshaw University since 2014. He has also served in Faculty of Education, Banasthali University, Rajasthan, Rani Bhagyawati Devi Women’s PG College, Bijnor and has been the Programme Incharge of IGNOU B.Ed Programme Study Centre. He did his Masters in History from Berhampur University and Master of Education from Devi Ahilya University, Indore. He has owned the distinction of being a National Research Fellow of the Ministry of Tribal Affairs, Govt. of India at University of Allahabad under the supervision of Prof. P.K.Sahoo. He has been awarded D.Phil by University of Allahabad for his doctoral thesis ‘A Study of DPEP Intervention in Tribal Education at Primary Stage and its Effectiveness in Orissa’. His research focus includes Tribal Education, Development Education vis-a-vis Tribal Empowerment, Quality Management in Higher Education, Constructivist and digital pedagogy. Dr. Das has published seven books including six reference books and one textbook; published more than 40 research papers and articles; undertaken two research projects; guided M.Phil and PhD research; and innovated TPACK based K5 Instructional Model for Practicing Pre-service Teachers. He is currently engaged in a TPACK based Research Project funded under PMMMNMTT, Government of India.
