Dr. Nayak has obtained his M.A., M.Phil and Ph.D from Utkal University, Bhubaneswar. He was a UGC Research Fellow during 1998-2002. His research interest includes Agricultural Economics, Economics of Social Sector, Developmental Issues, and Issues in Federal Finance. He has worked as Advisor to PG Seminar, M/Phil/Ph.D Coordinator, Joint Coordinator in UGC-SAP (DRS), Joint Coordinator in Rural Development Study Programme, Associate Editor in Ravenshaw Journal of Economics, Member in DRC/BoS in Economics, Rural Development and History. He has also been the founder secretary in Association of Ravenshaw Economics Alumni(AREA). He has got over nineteen years of teaching and research experience. He has contributed over forty papers to national and international seminars, authored/edited two books and published over thirty articles in refereed journals and edited books. Apart from his academic interest he is actively engaged in a number of social work activities dedicated for education and rural development.
