Dr. Kirtti is an Assistant Professor (Stage-I) at the Department of Economics, Ravenshaw University. Prior to joining Ravenshaw University, he was an Assistant Professor at the SMVD University, Jammu during 2017-22. He has also taught at several universities in India, such as Central University of Karnataka, Babasaheb Bhimrao Ambedkar (Central) University, Lucknow, and NALSAR-Hyderabad. He was a research fellow in the ‘Commission of Inquiry into the Socio-economic Conditions of Muslims’, Govt. of Telangana where he helped in preparation of report of this Commission. He obtained his PhD (2014) and MPhil (2009) degrees from the School of Economics, University of Hyderabad, after getting graduated from Utkal University, Bhubaneswar. He was the recipient of ‘Prof. D. R. Gadgil Award’ in 2017 for the best paper published by a single author below 35 years in the prestigious journal Artha Vijnana and subsequently in 2019 he got the ‘Best Paper Award’ along with his co-author from International Association of Agricultural Economists (IAAE), Toronto, for the paper published in its prestigious journal ‘Agricultural Economics.’  He has delivered invited lectures in many academic and professional institutions like TISS-Hyderabad, National Academy of Agricultural Science (NAAS), New Delhi, Maulana Azad National Urdu University, Hyderabad, etc., and has presented papers at national and international conferences.  He has published research works in various SCOPUS and Web of Science (WoS) indexed journals, edited one book and also published one book. He has successfully guided one PhD student and two more are pursuing. He teaches Microeconomics, Mathematical Optimization in Economics, Law & Economics, Development Economics, and Mathematical Methods for Economics to post-graduate and undergraduate students at the Department of Economics.
