Nuclear Magnetic Resonance (NMR) Spectroscopy

The facility provides access to a JEOL 400 MHz NMR spectrometer where research scholars independently operate the spectrometer. Researchers have 24hrs open access to the NMR lab and can reserve instrument time via an online scheduling system

Sanction of FIST grant in 2012 from the Department of Science & Technology, Govt. of India and another grant from the Department of Science & Technology –Odisha to the Department of Chemistry allowed Ravenshaw University to purchase a JEOL 400 MHz spectrometer.

The instrument is located in New Academic Block-I, Ground Floor.

Sample Requirement

5-10 mg of sample for 1H and 10-20 mg sample for 13C
