He holds the position of Visiting Professor in the Department of Chemistry since 2013. He retired as professor of Chemistry OES –I (special grade) in the year 2012 from Khallikote University, Odisha. He has more than 27 years of research and 36 years of teaching experience (both in the UG and PG) in the field of physical chemistry. He has 71 publications in peer review journals to his credit. He has already produced twelve research scholars. He has published two books for undergraduate students. He is also a member of Springer Nature. He is the life member of Indian Science Congress, Ultrasonic Society, Orissa Bigyan Academy of Science and Orissa Science Congress. He was the president of Chemistry Alumni Association of Utkal University in the year 2018 and he was also served as president of Orissa Chemical Society for the year 2019. His current research interest is focused on chemical dynamics, synthesis of metal complexes and their interaction with drug molecule and ultrasonic study of ion-solvent interaction.
